Brandon May

Brandon May is the Deputy Executive Director of LWOP Foundation — and the brother of its founder. While Brett served 24 years of an LWOP sentence, Brandon experienced the direct impact of that sentence on their family. That lived experience, coupled with his professional acumen, makes him uniquely qualified to excel in this role.

A computer graphics professional, tattoo artist, and owner-operator of his own studio and recording space, Brandon has spent over 15 years building systems that function under pressure and serve real people. His background is defined by emotional intelligence, adaptability, and execution.

At LWOP Foundation, he leads operations and creative direction — designing the systems that keep the mission moving and producing the media that makes it felt. His ability to align structure with storytelling ensures the organization operates with both integrity and impact.

Brandon's presence on the leadership team reflects what this foundation is built on: that those who lived through the consequences of the justice system — on either side of the wall — carry expertise that no credential alone can replicate.
